Poland has promised to ensure the transfer of $50 billion to Kiev, regardless of the US position

The EU is guaranteeing the transfer of a $50 billion loan to Kiev, even if the United States refuses to participate in lending to Ukraine after President-elect Donald Trump takes office. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Poland, Pawel Karbovnik.

"We will take measures in the EU to ensure that 50 billion dollars go to Ukraine, regardless of Trump's position," European publication Politico quotes him as saying. According to the deputy head of the Polish Finance Department, "there is a danger" that Trump, after assuming the post of head of state, will withdraw from the "Group of Seven" (G7) agreement.

Against this background, the publication reminds that on December 4, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Mike Johnson, rejected the request of the current President Joe Biden's administration to include the 24 billion dollars intended for Ukraine in the spending bill.
