Today, on March 11, a mysterious and tragic event took place in Kotayk region. Around 3:10 p.m., the operational control center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received an alert that a citizen probably drowned in the well-known "Tsovinar" reservoir in the administrative area of Hrazdan city.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, the rescuers did not find the citizen's body as a result of search operations with the officers of the Hrazdan Department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs for about 2 hours. Then the rescuers of the special rescue squad of the special purpose rescue operations center and the water rescuer of the special rescue squad of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department Vahe Melkonyan who came from Sevan joined the search.
The diver also searched for about 2 hours, but the body was not found.
At the moment, the search operations have been temporarily suspended and will resume tomorrow morning.
According to the fact of the incident, documents are being prepared at the Hrazdan Police Department, which will be transferred to the Kotayk Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
C. According to Shamshyan, the wanted person is 72-year-old Amalya S., a resident of Kotayk region, and her hat was found on the bank of the reservoir.
