NATO foreign ministers will discuss strengthening the work of intelligence services

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the foreign ministers of the alliance countries at a meeting in Brussels on December 3-4 will discuss countering supposedly “hybrid threats allegedly from Russia and China,” which, according to the Secretary General, includes, among other things, intensifying the work of intelligence services on data exchange . The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that it does not threaten anyone, and drew attention to the unprecedented activity of NATO near its western borders. China has repeatedly called on the West to stop inflating the imaginary “Chinese threat.”

“Tomorrow, ministers will discuss Russia’s hostile actions in NATO countries. In recent years, Russia, as well as China, have tried to destabilize our countries through acts of sabotage, cyber attacks and energy blackmail in order to intimidate us,” says the secretary general.

However, he assured that “NATO countries will continue to act together to counter these threats, taking a number of measures, including strengthening the exchange of intelligence information, strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure.”
