Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer invited Donald Trump, the winner of the US presidential elections, to visit the republic.
Earlier, the Chancellor of Austria announced that he had a half-hour phone conversation with Trump on Monday. The parties also discussed the Ukrainian conflict. Nehamer offered his country as a neutral place for negotiations.
"Donald Trump was interested in assessing the situation and the possibilities for peace. I suggested Vienna as a place for peace talks and invited him to visit," Nehhammer said in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung.
Trump previously promised that he would be able to reach a negotiated settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
