The G7 countries have reaffirmed their determination not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. This is stated in the draft statement based on the results of the meeting of the Group of Seven ministers held in Italy.

"We reaffirm our determination that Iran must never develop or acquire nuclear weapons. We will continue to work in that direction to counter Iran's nuclear escalation," the draft document states.
