The Georgian government aims to restore relations with the United States, as relations with Washington are particularly important for Tbilisi. This was announced by Maka Bochorishvili, the candidate for the Foreign Minister of Georgia.
"For the government of Georgia, the strategic partnership with the USA, all the priority areas defined by the strategic partnership charter are priority and especially important.
Our task is to achieve the restoration of relations with the US, which implies the restoration of equal and fair relations in all spheres, the restoration and development of cooperation in full, taking into account the interests of the parties," said Bochorishvili, speaking at the 2018 Joint session of several parliamentary committees according to the procedures of the new government.
