At the session of the Collective Security Council in Astana, Russia will discuss with CSTO partners the topic of Western long-range weapons attacks on the Russian Federation. This is reported by TASS.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan, all aspects of the Ukrainian crisis will be discussed. He reminded that Russia and Kazakhstan are allies, and there is an agreement between the countries to provide mutual support in case of aggression by other countries.
Putin's state visit to Kazakhstan will take place on November 27. The next day, he will participate in the CSTO summit, where Kazakhstan will preside from January 1, 2024. The CSTO is a regional interstate organization that includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
The main goal of the CSTO is to protect the member states from external armed attacks.
