Very often, the internal political positioning in the states creates conditions for the formation of the foreign political environment.
In other words, foreign policy is mainly formulated based on the internal interests of the state. But in the case of Armenia, our internal agenda is formed by the ruling political power not in accordance with the interests of our country, but with the interests of foreign powers and especially enemy states.
In other words, external demands shape the internal political atmosphere in our country. That is why the directions of the anti-Armenian, anti-Armenian agenda are clearly being promoted, the most important of which is the fight against the national identity and the value system that shows the originality of the Armenian people. And this campaign takes shape in the practice of demolishing value pillars, rejecting and correcting history and memory.
For example, historically, the Armenian Apostolic Church has been one of the pillars of value for the Armenian people, but during Pashinyan's tenure, the authorities use all possible means to discredit the Church. Perhaps the fact that the Church has been standing for centuries to unite the Armenian people, preserve the national identity and initiate the national liberation struggle is taken into account.
And in order to prevent the spread and rise of the roots of the national struggle after the defeat of the existing authorities, the strongest blows are directed in the direction of the Church itself. The picture becomes complete when the Azerbaijani propaganda machine regularly barks at the Armenian Church, presenting it as the hearth of the origin of revanchism. The other pillar of the government's attacks is the security system, particularly the army, so that it is not able to stand on the foundations of a new struggle. There have always been certain vices in the security system, but that does not mean that the entire army should be identified with those vices.
But the authorities are doing the opposite under the slogans "the army should not be sanctified", constantly targeting the army and the people who stand on its foundations. It also indirectly means devaluing the experience of the glorious victories we had during the Artsakh liberation war, so that they do not happen again. After all, according to Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian people should come to terms with the defeat in the second Artsakh war.
Again, the picture becomes complete when you see the intensity of the demands from Azerbaijan that Armenia should not have an army. And when the General Staff of the army demanded the resignation of the authorities, it was from Turkey that statements condemning the actions of the army and supporting Pashinyan were made. The other black mission of the ruling administration in Armenia is to correct history, erase it and start from a completely new page.
It is within the framework of this policy that the concept of "historical Armenia" is opposed to the concept of "real Armenia". And the concept of "real Armenia" means giving up Artsakh and our historical rights.
That is why the authorities are trying to prove that until now we have lived wrongly, our predecessors have led Armenia to the abyss, that is why we are facing a broken trough, and the formation of the concept of "historical Armenia" has only benefited... Russia, and if we fight for our historical rights, then there will come a moment when Armenia will be destroyed, and in order for Armenia to remain, we must be guided by the "peace agenda".
In other words, in the case of the "peace agenda" alternative, according to Pashinyan, an incomparably great tragedy awaits us. That is why Pashinyan generates such propaganda theses that people living in the settlements of Armenia should not remember their historical roots, in particular, that their fathers and grandfathers came from parts of Western Armenia, from Mush, Van, Erzurum and other settlements, reaching Eastern Armenia.
According to Pashinyan's logic, if we talk about people's roots in Western Armenia, it will mean that foreigners have lived in the territory of Armenia itself, and these foreigners will show territorial ambitions towards Armenia. Behind such propaganda, it can be seen that the RA authorities are pouring water into the mill of the Turkish propaganda machine to deny the historical reality of the Armenian Genocide.
Even the Lemkin Institute for the Prevention of Genocide observed that the regime operating in Armenia and its paramilitary leader implicitly joined the process of denying the Armenian Genocide. ", instead of the subject, the subject "History of Armenia" is introduced into the school curriculum in order to avoid the subject of the Armenian Genocide as much as possible.
And the Foreign Minister declares that the topic of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not a foreign policy priority for Armenia. If you list all the steps taken by the authorities aimed at belittling the subject of the Genocide, you can make a long list. But the surprising thing is that the RA authorities advance their anti-Armenian agenda with such skill that the Turkish deniers and Azerbaijani propagandists, working hand in hand with the official circles of those countries, could not even see in their wildest dreams years ago.
