Former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been sentenced to one year in prison to avoid taxes.
The decision was made by the Madrid Supreme Court.
According to Spanish legislation, judgments of imprisonment are usually conventional for up to two years.
"The court condemns Ancelotti to a year in prison for the 2014 tax period and justifies him in connection with the 2015 tax period," the statement said.
It should be noted that Ancelotti's trial started on April 2. According to Relevo Portal, the prosecution believed that Ancelotti paid taxes in 2014 and 2015 only from its salary, but not from additional sources of income. The total amount of debt was 1.062 million euros.
