The Government authorizes the Mayor of Yerevan to conclude the rights, duties and responsibilities of the state and the acquirer during the process of expropriation of property in the areas enclosed by the Main Avenue, Abovyan, Pavstos Buzand, Yeznik Koghbatsu and Aram streets of the city of Yerevan with the closed joint stock company "EMC" on behalf of the Republic of Armenia. contract defining the title.
It is written in the justification of the project:
"After the signing of the contract, it will be possible to recognize the public overriding interest in the mentioned 2 units of property, at the same time to give a legal regime to the circumstances arising from the above-mentioned cases, by recognizing the acquirer of the "IEMS" PB company and to complete the implementation of the urban development project, through which private investments will be made on the main avenue, Abovyan , in the area bounded by Pavstos Buzand, Yeznik Koghbatsu and Aram streets, it will be possible to restore the historical-architectural environment of "Old Yerevan" and it will be possible to recreate an urban aesthetic environment in the area by moving the lost and destroyed monuments of history and culture.
Basically, we are talking about the "Old Yerevan" project, which was also adopted in November 2018.
Only 6 years have passed, but the project announced by Pashinyan has not been implemented yet.
