The president of Abkhazia has resigned


The President of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, has submitted his resignation, Vice-President Badra Gyunba told reporters.

As stated in Bzhania's statement, conveyed by the press service of the president, he is resigning "in order to maintain stability and constitutional order in the country".

"The President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, submitted his resignation on November 19, 2024 at the request of the citizens gathered in and inside the government buildings.
