At the request of Azerbaijan, Jordan withdrew the film about the revenge of an 11-year-old Artsakh resident submitted to "Oscar".

"Despite the fact that in September of this year, the film "My Sweet Land" by Sarin Hayrapetyan, a Jordanian director with Armenian roots, was selected for presentation at the "Oscar" award ceremony in the "Best Foreign Film" category, Azerbaijan expressed its concern and immediately contacted the Jordanian to draw the attention of the party that the content of the film contradicts the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan", said Aykhan Hajizade, the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"Contrary to the statements of the Armenian side, there can be no question of pressure. It was as a result of an independent decision by the Royal Jordanian Film Commission that the film was ultimately not submitted to the Oscars and its release in Jordan was halted.

We welcome this decision of the Jordanian side," Hajizade said. According to the script of the movie "My Home is Sweet", 11-year-old Vrezh grew up in the Armenian region of Nagorno-Karabakh, seeing the hardships and destruction of wars.

His grandmother predicts that her grandson will one day become a participant in the war. The film shows how a child's childhood dreams are threatened when his real life is filled with militarized education and violence.
