On August 26, a fatal hit-and-run occurred in Ararat region. At around 8:45 p.m., in the administrative territory of Marmarashen settlement, 35-year-old Davit D., a resident of Ararat region, hit a pedestrian, 62-year-old Hrachya G., a resident of Yerevan, with his Mercedes car,Shamshyan.comreported.
The driver did not flee, called an ambulance, and the ambulance doctors on duty who arrived promptly provided first aid to the victim on the spot, then transported him to the "Erebuni" medical center.
Before the investigative team arrived at the scene, an alarm was received from the hospital to the Masis department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police that the victim had died in the operating room.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Masis Investigation Department regarding the incident.
At the scene of the incident, patrols discovered a Mercedes S500 car that belonged to the person who was hit.
