Shahane Mnatsakanyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan N 688-A of August 10, 2026.
Biography:
Shahane Mnatsakanyan was born on July 10, 1989 in Yerevan.
Since 1996, he received his secondary education at Charents and Belinsky schools.
In 2005-2006, he continued his education in the USA at Washington Township High School.
In 2006-2013, he studied at Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi, receiving a bachelor's degree in medicine.
In 2013-2015, he studied at the same university with a master's program in public health.
In 2015-2017, he studied at the Faculty of Public Health of the American University of Armenia and received a master's degree in public health.
In 2020-2021, studied and graduated from Harvard Medical School's "Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership" graduate certificate program.
In 2024-2025, he studied at the Ministry of Health "Academic S. Avdalbekyan National Institute of Healthcare" CJSC, majored in "Epidemiology" and received a doctor's diploma.
He started working in 2015.
From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a quality assurance manager at the Reference Laboratory Center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
In 2018-2020, he worked at "Wigmore Clinic" CJSC as a quality manager.
In 2019-2022 he coordinated the scientific programs of "EcoSence Laboratories".
From 2020 to 2024, he worked at Wigmore Clinic CJSC as a deputy director, from 2022 to 2025 he was the deputy director of operations at Wigmore Group CJSC, Wigmore Women's and Children's Hospital, and until 2026 he held the position of acting director of Wigmore Clinic CJSC.
In 2021-2022, he worked in the Armenia office of the World Health Organization as a national laboratory consultant.
Since 2026, he has held the position of adviser to the general director of "Nork-Marash" medical center CJSC.
He also worked as a lecturer.
In 2023-2025, he taught at the Academy of Leadership and Innovation on quality management and other topics in the healthcare sector.
In 2017-2019, he was the Armenian Young Ambassador of the American Microbiological Association. During that time, he participated in the creation of the network of young scientists of Armenia, the development of scientific collaborations and the organization of professional workshops.
He is a graduate of the USA FSA FLEX future leaders exchange program (2005-2006).
He also carried out volunteer work. Participated in international professional trainings and conferences. He is the author and co-author of scientific publications related to the fields of healthcare and infectious diseases.
He is married and has three daughters.
