A number of issues of the current phase of bilateral relations between Armenia and Russia were also addressed. The agenda of relations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union was also discussed. Ruben Rubinyan noted that the holding of a referendum on the issue of membership of the European Union in the Republic of Armenia, expected by the Russian Federation, can become practically possible only after Armenia submits an official application to the European Union and enters the subject phase of the process.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their willingness to continue the open dialogue in order to further develop inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthen mutual understanding on bilateral agenda issues.
