The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Jose Manuel Albarez, assured that the security of the Schengen zone is absolutely guaranteed.
He wrote about this in X after Italy informed the European Commission about the introduction of temporary border controls for those arriving by sea and air with Spain.
According to the minister, most of the illegal immigrants who arrived in Ceuta have already returned to Morocco. "It is impossible to travel from Ceuta or Melilla to the Iberian Peninsula without a passport at the police checkpoint. The integrity of the Schengen zone is absolutely guaranteed," said Minister X on social networks.
