Former US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who has announced her commitment to fighting racial inequality in the housing sector, bought a mansion in a neighborhood where there are practically no black residents, Fox News reports.
Harris, who likes to emphasize his Afro-Indian heritage, reportedly bought the new home for $8.15 million. The mansion is located in the exclusive Point Dume neighborhood of Malibu (California).
According to the US Census Bureau, in 2019, the borough was 0.2% black and approximately 94% white.
