The European Commission allocated 3.47 billion euros to Kiev for strike weapons from a program worth 90 billion euros

The European Commission (EC) has allocated 3.47 billion euros to Kiev in the form of a new tranche (within the framework of the 90 billion euro program) to buy offensive drones, missiles and fighters. This is stated in the statement of the EC.

"The European Commission has today allocated €3.47 billion to Ukraine as part of the €90 billion military component of its funding," the statement said. "This tranche includes the acquisition of drones, including long-range jet drones, missiles and Swedish Gripen fighters."

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said in her speech that the strike weapon program "is an aid to the defense of Ukraine's skies and people." The European Commission clarified that it had previously allocated two tranches of military financing to Kiev within the framework of the 90 billion euro program: 3.9 billion euro on June 30 and 1.1 billion euro on July 15.

Therefore, the European Commission has now allocated 8.47 billion euros of military funding to Ukraine within the framework of this program.
