The ban on the export of gasoline from Russia will be extended. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

The fuel supply situation at gas stations in Russia has improved due to the repair works of some oil refineries. The balance of supply and demand has improved, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters, Izvestia reports.

According to him, the ban on the export of gasoline from Russia will be extended until the end of the year.

“We have also decided to extend the petrol export ban for both producers and non-producers at the head office. This means that it will be extended until the end of the year," said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

To remind, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers that the lack of fuel in the country is temporary and that the Russian energy sector has a high level of security.

Fuel production in Russia has fallen in part due to attacks on oil refineries, although the situation has partially stabilized, according to a report by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Against this background, the Russian authorities have imposed a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel. Major oil companies prioritize fuel deliveries to regions with independent operators.
