The ban on the export of gasoline from Russia will be extended until the end of the year, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.
The ban on diesel exports will be lifted "along with market recovery" so that refineries do not have to deal with excess surplus and reduction of refining volumes.
We reported earlier that a ban on the export of diesel fuel was imposed in Russia.
Deputy Prime Minister Novak announced during the meeting of the Russian government that the demand for motor fuel has increased by about a third, which has led to an additional load on gas stations. The import of oil products begins in July.
Novak noted that now fuel prices in Crimea have doubled due to difficulties with logistics. Russian President Vladimir Putin responded by saying that decisions on fuel support for Crimea and southern Russia should be made now, not later.
Putin called for a faster decision on subsidies for fuel purchases and supported the idea of creating a network of small oil refineries in the face of Ukrainian attacks, and emphasized: "The wider the net, the harder it is to damage it."
