The cities of Abadan and Bandar-e Mahshahr in Khuzestan province, located in the southwest of Iran, were subjected to US airstrikes, according to the deputy governor of the province, Waliullah Hayati.
"Today at 13:25 (12:55 Moscow time) American shells of the enemy hit a place in the city of Abadan," Hayati told IRNA.
He added that additional information will be released later after the preliminary assessment is completed. Hayati also mentioned that Bandar-e Mahshahr was also hit.
