On July 4, at 3:43 p.m., Syunik regional operational control center was alerted that a truck was on fire on the highway leading to Upper Khotana.
The operative group of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, three fire-rescue squads and one combat unit from the Aghvani base went to the scene.
It was found out that on the 17th km of the Kapan-Yerevan highway, a truck with a "Scania" trailer, loaded with 8 passenger cars, was burning.
The fire was contained at 16:44 and extinguished at 18:06. The truck, four of the eight loaded cars were completely burned, two partially.
