During the elections and pre-election campaign, 423 reports were received regarding violations. Lilit Grigoryan, deputy prosecutor general, announced this at the session of the Supreme Court at the request of 7 political forces.
According to him, 332 proceedings were initiated, including 7 on the instructions of the Prosecutor General. Criminal prosecution was initiated against 391 persons on various charges, including for obstructing the expression of will, money laundering, election bribery. Arrest petitions against 15 MP candidates have been granted, and 3 more have not yet been examined. He also informed that based on the report of the "Wings of Unity" party regarding the involvement of students in the election campaign, the circumstances are being clarified.
36 reports were received regarding coercion of employees of state bodies to participate in rallies, use of administrative resources, including increase of pensions, etc., but proceedings were not initiated, as the information could not be verified. During the elections, the prosecutor's office received two reports regarding hate speech, but in both cases, proceedings were not initiated because the reports did not correspond to reality.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan (the Ministry of Internal Affairs also acts as a respondent in the lawsuit of 7 political parties in the CC) said that the principle of "one person, one vote" was ensured within the scope of the powers of the migration service. According to him, the requirements of a number of citizens to participate in voting at their place of residence were met, and 1,172 were included in additional lists. As for the inaccuracies, checks were carried out on the basis of all reports.
