His Holiness Aram I's appeal to the Armenian people regarding the re-establishment of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh. "On the eve of the COP29 international conference to be held in Baku (Azerbaijan) on November 11-22, 2024, we, the spiritual leaders, once again express our just protest and deep concern about the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Artsakh (2020-2023) and as a result of it around 120,000 people of Artsakh in their history eviction from lands, the planned demolition of Armenian religious and cultural buildings and monuments in Artsakh, and the illegal capture of Artsakh's political leadership.
Indeed, as spiritual heads dedicated to the service of God and our people and leaders committed to the protection of justice, peace and human rights, we cannot remain silent in the face of Azerbaijan's violation of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh and indifference to the international community.
Now, we appeal to the spiritual leaders of our churches and community leaders
.- a) On the eve of the COP29 international conference and during its work, to highlight the ongoing injustice towards the Armenians of Artsakh, especially emphasizing the just right of the people of Artsakh to return to their historical lands with international guarantees and to reassert their sovereignty.
b) To put all our abilities to the maximum extent for the protection of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, within the political, state, diplomatic, inter-religious and inter-church frameworks, with the wide use of relevant and informational means Prisoners and prisoners of war released as soon as possible We will find a fateful turning point in our nation's history.
We are surrounded by numerous and diverse concerns. Now, the strong consolidation of our nation around a pan-Armenian agenda is more than imperative.
