The Israeli Air Force has scrambled fighter jets to escort a Wizz Air passenger jet after a child on board called his phone's Wi-Fi "terrorist," the Daily Mail reports.
According to media reports, the Wizz Air flight had departed from Luton Airport and was en route to Ben Gurion Airport when a passenger saw a message on his phone that he interpreted as threatening.
The "message" was later revealed to be the name of a Wi-Fi network the child created on his phone, calling the network "terrorist". The unusual name quickly caused consternation among passengers and crew, prompting security measures.
After the incident, the Israeli Air Force raised several fighter jets to escort the plane to Tel Aviv. Before landing, the plane circled three times over the Mediterranean Sea.
