American rapper Kanye West apologized for anti-Semitic statements. He posted the message in The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair reports.

In the apology, titled "To Those I Hurt," the musician discussed a 2002 car accident that left him with a broken jaw and brain damage.

"At that time, the focus was on visible injuries: fracture, swelling and physical trauma. The deeper injury inside my skull went unnoticed," West wrote.

In his apology, Kanye claimed that his alleged injury was not properly investigated for a long time and was only discovered in 2023.

He believes that this trauma contributed to his bipolar disorder.

"I lost touch with reality. The longer I ignored the problem, the worse it got. I said and did things that I deeply regret. I had the worst attitude towards some of the people I love the most. You overcame fear, confusion, humiliation, and exhaustion trying to reach someone who was sometimes unrecognizable. Looking back, I understand that I left myself," he addressed the people whom he offended and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
