"Fact" daily writes:
"Mkhitars was a quiet, very clever and intelligent child. When he started walking, he felt how thoughtful everything was. He was looking back and forth, putting his foot firmly on the floor and moving forward," said Mrs. Ruzanna, Mkhitar's mother, in an interview with "Fact". Talking about his school years, he says that his son studied very well. “He excelled until fifth grade. She started singing in the third grade and has been singing for eight years. At the age of 15, he left singing and entered the State Agricultural College named after Aghajanyan in Nor Geghi. Studied business administration. He was creative, had an organizational nerve. At school, he always stood out for his organizational ability, he led the course of events and sang during them." Leaving college in 2020 On August 30, Mkhitar was drafted into compulsory military service. "He should have been drafted, finished college, decided to enter the National Agrarian University of Armenia." All of Mkhitar's dreams were related to the business sector. "He was working on projects that he didn't show us. Later we were transferred from the college. He made plans for the buildings to show his father when he was finished. He wanted to prove himself in every field, he had so many dreams, all of them were left unfinished." Mkhitar was drafted into the army under quite high pressure for his age. The mother says that her son also had arrhythmia, but she went to the military commissariat from the hospital and personally took the summons. "He himself thought like this. "I have to serve, don't cross my life, I'm Garik's son, I still have to walk in my village." Maybe he wouldn't go to the service, maybe they would postpone it, but he took the summons with his own hands." Mkhitar served in Jrakan. “He was so happy talking to me every day, mom, everything is fine, mom, I am respected so much. During those few days, he was infinitely loved, respected and recognized as a forward-thinking, reaching everyone, outstanding soldier. He didn't complain about his service even for a second. We had a conversation on September 25. We had a house that we bought for him. During the conversation, he asked me separately: Mom, sell my house, release Armani from the army. We did not understand what he means when he says to release the younger brother from the service. On September 25, they already knew about the danger of war, they declared an alarm." On September 27, the 44-day war began. "That day, after nine o'clock, 45 called, said that everything is normal, they are being taken to a safe place, they will not go to war, there are shots, but let's be calm. Then at one o'clock he calls his friend and says, "Your brother is being taken to war." During the war, Mkhitar was in Jraka, right on the front line. "He served with his classmate Hakob. On October 2, Hakob, along with 7 other people, was hit by an anti-aircraft missile near the trench. Mkhitars is not in the area at the time, but then goes to see what he can do. He goes, but returns empty." On October 4, the family contacted Mkhitar for the last time. Mrs. Ruzanna says that no one can say whether the boys were killed in the evening of October 5 or in the morning of October 6. "Many people celebrate October 6, when the incident happened." A part of Mkhitar's battle path. "Private Mkhitaryan took a direct part in the counter-attack carried out in the area of 200 DKK, stood out for his organizational qualities, bravely fought against the enemy's manpower, destroyed the enemy and caused great damage to the enemy's forces, as well as stopped the enemy's advancing equipment with his accurate fire, removed his wounded and dead comrades from the trenches. On October 3-4, they crossed the embankment leading to "Tozaran" from the defense area called "Chrikans", where the enemy launched a large-scale attack, during which the battalion was engaged in battle with all its strength, causing large losses to the enemy. On October 5-6, they carried out defense in the "Tozaran Crossroads" area, where he was surrounded with his fellow soldiers, during which he entered the battle with all his might, causing many losses to the enemy, where he received a gunshot wound in the arm." At this time, its commander, Major Andranik Aghajanyan, was also injured. Mkhitar could not leave the commander on the battlefield, rushes to help. The enemy hits them with a remote-controlled missile. "No one follows them anymore. Four of the group of 12 survive and leave the area. Most of the boys were alive, wounded, help did not arrive, they were exhausted." The boys are immortalized in the area called "Tozaran Crossroads" in Hadrut. Exactly two months later, on December 6, the family "finds" Mkhitar. "We didn't have any information about him during that time. Search operations began in that area, and with great difficulty, my husband and my son made great efforts to get 90 percent of the soldiers out. Eight bodies were taken out of that area, my husband was sure that one was Mkhitar, because both phones were in his pocket. That's how we made sure it was him. But three months later, the DNA test confirmed it." The mother says that it was confirmed in every possible way that her son is immortal, but they are still waiting. "Every person realizes that waiting is the cruelest thing in this life, but believe me, today that waiting has become one of the reasons for our living. We want to wait." Mkhitar is the eldest of four boys in the family: Mkhitar, Arman, Mher, Monte. "It forced us to have seven boys to sit at the table with seven brothers. Each of my boys has a place. There was a moment when even their presence did not wake me up, I looked at them and realized that I would not be able to live. But after some time I realized that their fates are in my hands, in that case there was no other way to choose than to let them live. My absence, my weakening, would cause great harm to my family, and I fought for our family to continue living, even if it was broken." H. C. - Rifleman Mkhitar Mkhitaryan was posthumously awarded with the decree of the President of RA - "Combat Cross" 1st degree and the decree of the President of Artsakh - "Combat Cross" 2nd degree. He was also awarded with the "Tevan Stepanyan" medal by the "Im Hadrut" NGO. He was buried in his native Nor Geghi cemetery in Kotayk marz, next to his grandfather.
