Moscow is ready. Lavrov

Russia is ready to discuss possible proposals for expanding contacts with the representatives of the Georgian authorities. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made this statement during a press conference held in Moscow.

He reminded that there are no diplomatic relations between Georgia and Russia, because they were terminated by the former leadership of Georgia. However, there are representative offices in the territory of both countries attached to the Swiss embassy. Russian diplomats work in Tbilisi in that capacity.

"They contribute to the development of relations, including commercial and economic ones, which are really on the rise, tourism is developing," Lavrov noted.

He added that the Russian diplomats discuss the emerging issues with the representatives of the Georgian authorities.
