Eighteen people were injured as a result of a collision between a mobile hall and a terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport, reports Fox 5, referring to the Washington Dulles Airport Authority.
At Dulles Airport, mobile lounges transport airline passengers from the terminal to the aircraft and back.
"The Washington Airports Authority said 18 people were taken to the hospital for evaluation after a mobile cabin, also known as a 'people mover,' crashed into a runway at Dulles International Airport," the TV channel reported.
According to the airport authorities, the incident happened when the mobile hall was approaching the building, and the passengers' injuries were not life-threatening, the TV channel added. The airport is operating as usual, the statement said.
