On Sunday, the election process of the legislative (lower) chamber of the Parliament of Uzbekistan was held at a high level, Shukhrat Polvanov, the vice-president of the Supreme Court of the Republic, told reporters.

For the first time in the country, deputies were elected for a new, five-year term, with a mixed majoritarian-proportional model. out of 150 seats in the lower house, 75 deputies were elected in single-mandate constituencies, the remaining 75 in single-mandate constituencies.
The election was declared complete by 1:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m. Moscow time) as turnout exceeded the required 33 percent threshold of 47.62 percent, or nearly 9.5 million people.
All five parties operating in the country participated in the elections.
