"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"Economic pressures carried out for political purposes have become a regular phenomenon during the rule of Nikol Pashinyan, and one of the most noisy examples is related to the businesses belonging to the Tashir group of companies." The state has sent a manager to reform the ENE, while the state-run ENE (High Voltage Electric Networks) is experiencing shameful violations. First of all, let us inform you that the NPP belongs to the Government and is considered an electricity transmission network (220 kV), and the NPP belongs to the national philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, e-mail is a power distribution network (110 kV and below).
The consumer receives the electricity through the HEP. In other words, "High Voltage Electric Networks" is also a company of strategic significance, but abuses of billions of drams have been recorded there. By examining the audit report, "Zhoghovurd" daily found out that there are flagrant serious violations in the company's activities.
In total, more than 2.6 billion drams is the amount of damage recorded in the state or national NEC during the last seven years, which was also published by "Civilnet". This amount is the sum total of three criminal proceedings. It turns out that starting from 2019, three groups of criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the crimes committed in the NEC. The largest of them are the two state damage proceedings, one in the amount of 1.1 billion drams, the other in the amount of 1.4 billion drams. Both proceedings include several other cases and are being investigated under the articles of embezzlement, fraud, abuse of official authority and falsification of documents.
Apart from that, there are also six-episode proceedings regarding thefts in the amount of around 6 million drams. Examining the cases, it should be noted that as a result of the crimes committed in the NEC, only 8 percent, 207 million drams, of the 2.6 billion drams of damage to the state was returned.
But this did not prevent the former director Hayk Harutyunyan (who assumed the position in 2018), as well as the current general director Davit Mirzoyan (who heads the BETC from 2023) to increase the salaries and rewards of the management staff of the institution with different decisions. For comparison, let's note that one year after the revolution, in 2019, the salary and bonus fund was about 86 million drams per year, and in 2024, that number was already 114 million drams (about 33 percent more). However, in the eyes of Pashinyan's government, these shocking facts and the extent of the damage done to the state are missing."
