Cuba has joined BRICS as a partner country

Cuba joins the BRICS alliance as a partner country with the hope of building a fairer and more democratic world order, stated the president of the Caribbean country, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

"Cuba is honored to join BRICS as a partner country. This is a great hope for the countries of the South, which are on a difficult path to a more just, democratic and stable international order," the president wrote in his X blog.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that BRICS members agreed on the list of partner states of the association at the summit held in Kazan. The leader of Bolivia, Luis Arce, said that his country also received this status.
