Arthritis pain has been discharged without a safe way to soften surgery

Scientists from South Korea have found that low-dose therapy can relieve the pain of the knee arthritis without the need for surgery. The results of the study were presented during the annual meeting of the American Radial Oncology Company (Astro).

114 patients with knee osteoarthritis took part in the study. Volunteers are divided into three groups. The two received radiation therapy with different doses, and the third placebo. Radiation therapy is a method of treatment of cancer using an ionizing radiation. This radiation is created through specialized equipment using a radioactive source.

Patients who have received higher radiation doses have reported a significant reduction in pain and improve the physical condition. Have not been noticeable serious side effects.

It is noted that the intensity of radiation has been lower than the need for cancer. Scientists note that this level of radiation is considered safe for the body.

According to Bung Kim Kim, the National Oncast of Seoul National University, this method can be an effective alternative between medication and the replacement of surgical joints, especially for patients or injections.
