Iran has welcomed and supported the "Peace Crossroads" project, according to which all countries in the region will be able to use all the transport routes in the region. The statement came from Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhan at the farewell press conference today, emphasizing the importance of the principle of reciprocity in Washington agreements.
"If Azerbaijan receives contact with Nakhichevan, Armenia should contact Iran in that way due to the principle of reciprocity. If all countries can take advantage of these transport opportunities, it will be in everyone's interests. The risk it will be that some of it will be implemented, and the other part is not, "the ambassador said.
