Laos is ready to become a full member of BRICS

Laos wants to become a full member of BRICS. This was announced by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) Thongloun Sisulit, speaking at the "outreach" / "BRICS plus" format meeting.
"Given the significant achievements of BRICS and the growing importance of BRICS on the world stage, the Lao People's Democratic Republic would like to formally announce its interest in becoming a member of BRICS," Sisulit said.

Laos, he said, is "ready to raise the level of interaction with BRICS" to full participation in the association.

"We are ready to raise the level of our interaction with BRICS on a wide range of issues. We hope that Laos will be accepted as a future member of the BRICS group," said the leader of Laos, addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
