The "Fact" daily writes:
Vagharshapat community council elections will be held on November 16. After the resignation of the head of the community Diana Gasparyan, the CPF decided to go to the snap elections and join the zoom's enlarged community in Vagharshapat. The hope of the authorities is that by nominating Argishti Mekhakyan, the head of the community, they will receive a corresponding vote from the settlements of the community headed by him.
In this election, the CP approaches the "life-death" problem, first of all, that this is the last "investigation" before the national elections.
The point is that the previous administration of Vagharshapat community led all the pre-election promises of the same CPA, in addition to that, the latter and his relatives pass through the serious criminal cases. On the other hand, it is not clear, Argishti Mekhakyan is not unequivocal. The vast majority of the society does not forgive him that Mekhak Mekhakyan's son, who was liberated by Artsakh, he joined Nikol Pashinyan.
In other words, as locals notes, he denied his father's work. So, the hopes of the CPA that he can repeat the results of three years ago in the magnified community of the Aries are extremely exaggerated. On the other hand, the upcoming elections will be too hot, as the opposition is quite combat, and very strong candidates will run.
There are already information that Sevak Khachatryan, the leader of the Vagharshapat Council of Elders, will run in the elections, most likely by the "Forward" party or the party bloc.
Arthur Vanetsyan's "Homeland" party also applied to participation, represented by Vachagan Manukyan's father, poet Khachik Manukyan, who died in the 44-day war in the Artsakh 44-day war. There are still unspecified information that the first time the "Hayaker" national civic union will also take part in the elections.
According to our sources, "Hayakvé" list will be headed by the head of the "Homeland Vahan" NGO Gagik Hovhannisyan. In response to our survey, they would provide additional information about the Vagharshapat elections.
