Kilic, Turkey's Special Representative for Turkey and Armenia, has announced its intention to visit Yerevan within the framework of the ongoing negotiations. He told reporters about this emphasizing the importance of discussing economic cooperation between the two countries.
He paid special attention to the Zangezur corridor project, calling it a strategic importance line. According to the Turkish representative, the corridor will open direct access not only between Turkey and Armenia, but also between the whole Central Asia and the Turkic republics.
"I hope that in the short term, we will be able to open this line and thus contribute to the development of the economy of both Armenian-Turkish relations and the economy like Igdir and Kars," he added.
Kilic also noted that the Armenian side is "warmly treated" initiative and expressed readiness to open the border. However, he stressed that in order to carry out a number of projects, it is necessary to solve technical issues.
