Bill Gates donated 50 million dollars in support of Kamala Harris

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, one of the world's richest men, has privately confirmed that he has donated nearly $50 million to a non-governmental organization supporting Democratic candidate Kamala Harris' presidential campaign. This is reported by The New York Times.

Gates said he supports "candidates who champion the ideas of better health care, reduced poverty and climate change in the United States and around the world."

"This election is different because it has unprecedented significance for Americans and the world's most vulnerable people," Gates said.

According to people close to the billionaire, he expressed concern about the second presidency of the Republican Donald Trump. He especially fears cuts to family planning and global health programs if Trump is re-elected president.
