As we have already informed, Russia's law enforcement agencies recently stopped and blocked hundreds of trucks from the Armenian "Spayka" company.
In a conversation with us, economists said that this is not just a step against a company, but a direct blow to the most sensitive point of Armenia's economy. The point is that "Spaykan" is Armenia's largest agro conduct, and the blocking of trucks can take a serious blow not only to the company, but also to Armenia's agricultural producers in general. Blocked every truck means not only unanswered orders, but also lost income for the villager, destroyed markets for the manufacturer of Armenia. If the blockade will take a long time, the chain of exports to Armenian agricultural products will collapse.
Experts also note that Russia's "Spayka" trucks are not accidental. It's a straight message. Moscow shows that Armenia's foreign policy fluctuations will not go unanswered. It should be reminded that in the previous past Russian Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk and other officials warned about it directly. And since Spayka is the spine of Armenia's agricultural exports, then the "choice" of this company cannot be accidental.
There is also an opinion that the case of "Spayka" is only a warning that if Armenia continues the adopted line, the pressure will soon be faster in other spheres. During the literally a few days, the sanctions may apply not only to agricultural products, but also on energy, transport or other economic flows.
This situation also creates serious risks for Armenia's international reputation. Armenia can be perceived as an unstable partner in the market, which is unable to provide timely and uninterrupted supplies.
