On the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and India, Armenian Ambassador to India Vahagn Afyan sent a congratulatory message, which particularly mentioned.

On August 31 this year, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of India. We appreciate the centuries-old friendship between our countries, which is based on mutual respect, trust and common values. India has always been a reliable partner and relative for the Republic of Armenia, with which we strive to establish a higher, strategic level of relations.
Reaffirming our unconditional respect, I would like to emphasize that our cooperation has been dynamically expanded in recent years, including areas of active political dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation, such as protection, information technology, education, culture and trade and economic cooperation.
Referring to the recent active contacts, I would like to speculate that Armenia and India have consistently develops high levels of political, economic, cultural and parliamentary cooperation in 2019. The prime ministers of the two countries have met within the framework of international platforms. Important militants are the visits of the Speaker of the RA National Assembly, Secretary of the Security Council, as well as the regular participation in prestigious events, such as Raisina Dialogue and the Yerevan Dialogue.
A number of documents have been signed in the fields of diplomacy, healthcare, technology and investment. Bilateral and trilateral consultations were carried out, Armenia has joined the International Blank Alliance. The two countries highlight the expansion of trade, technology and cultural ties, maintaining a regular dialogue on regional and global security issues.
Armenia and India have maintained vital cooperation for centuries, based on our historical and cultural ties. Armenian communities operating in India played an important role in the development of trade and cultural dialogue in the 17th and 19th centuries. It was in India the first Armenian Constitution "Trap" was created and the first Armenian "Azdarar" periodical was published, which have become a major guideline in spreading enlightenment ideas.
This symbolic day is an opportunity to make new meaning to our cooperation. It is expected to activate transport ties, expand the volume of trade, deepening bilateral cooperation and developing guidelines such as green energy, road infrastructure, tourism and medical cooperation. The use of effective mechanisms of contacts between businessmen will be more interesting to communicate with bilateral friendly relations with a stronger and promising nature.
Armenia is determined to make a continuous deepening of bilateral relations and is convinced that we will be able to achieve new achievements for the further well-being of our peoples.
I wish the two friendly peoples lasting peace and new achievements.
