Ushakov appreciated Putin's negotiations with the leaders of the countries at the BRICS summit

The negotiations between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the BRICS summit in Kazan were successful, including during the "tete-a-tete" contact, said Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president.

"In the beginning, there were separate bilateral conversations, I would say that they were of a negotiation nature, so many issues were raised. In addition, a large range of participants from all sides, both from our side and from our partners, that is, we discussed a very wide range of issues, both bilateral and international issues as well," Ushakov told reporters.

In particular, according to him, the Ukrainian problem was also touched upon. In addition to bilateral negotiations, on Tuesday there was an informal dinner for the leaders who came to the summit, during which the Russian president had a "tete-a-tete" conversation with almost everyone. During these talks, Ushakov noted, the most important and sensitive issues were discussed.
