Israel has denied that more than 70 people were killed in its strikes in the Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces acknowledged the losses as a result of the Israeli strike in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, but the Palestinian side's data, according to which more than 70 people were killed, was considered "exaggerated". Moreover, the Israeli side did not specify how many people died according to its data.

Earlier, the press office of the government of Gaza reported that the number of victims exceeded 70 as a result of the Israeli attack on the Beit Lahia region in the north of the Gaza Strip, and there are dozens of wounded.

"After a preliminary inspection by the Israel Defense Forces, it was found that the figures published by the office of the Hamas-led Government Information Center in Gaza are exaggerated and do not correspond to information from the Defense Forces," the army said in a statement.

The IDF also claimed that "high-precision munitions" were used in the attack.
