Denmark will also call women to women

Denmark has decided to expand compulsory military service, spreading it on women. The law, which was adopted in June 2023, will take effect on women born after July 1, 2025. They will be required to register on military service assessment, as it is already done in the case of men.

So far, women could only join the army only on a voluntary basis. In 2024, they made about 24% of the recruits. The Danish Armed Forces are going to improve the barracks and military equipment, bringing them in line with women.

The goal is to increase the number of military tensions in Europe until 2033 to 7,500 instead of the current 5,000. From 2026, the service will rise to 11 months, CNN reports.
