Accompanied by Deputy Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhare, the Minister of Culture of Georgia Tinatin Rukharyan, in Armenia, visited the Matenadaran Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.
Tinatin Rukhadze and the other guests toured the Matenadaran Museum Complex and the scientific building, got acquainted with the Armenian Written Heritage System. The Minister of Culture of Georgia paid special attention to the Georgian logo samples in the foreign language manuscripts.
The delegation toured the recovery department of the Matenadaran. Director Ara Khzmalyan briefed them on the restoration and maintenance of ancient manuscripts.
Georgian Minister of Culture Tina Rukhadze praised the scientific activity of the Matenadaran and the Armenian culture of preserving written monuments.
The Georgian delegation also visited "Megeryan Carpet" company to get acquainted with the art of Armenian carpet weaving.
