US President Donald Trump has signed a declaration called May 8 Victory Day in World War II.
The document that has been published on the White House website said that on this day the American people pay tribute to all those who died and "reaffirm their commitment to the security of the United States and the world's security, prosperity and freedom."
"Today, our country is proud to mark the 80th anniversary of the Allied Peasants, Native-Socialism and Fascism. On the day of the victory of World War II, we celebrate the unique strength and power of the American Armed Forces and promise to protect our holy right to get rid of all threats, external and internal, "the document said.
