South Korean military fired warning shots in response to road bombings

The military of the Republic of Korea fired "shots south of" the inter-Korean border in response to the bombing of roads in the DPRK. This was reported by the Yonhap agency with reference to the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea.
The committee noted that the South Korean armed forces were not harmed in any way by the bombing of roads connecting the DPRK and the Republic of Korea.

"Our armed forces conducted retaliatory fire in the region south of the military demarcation line," Seoul said.

Previously, the committee reported that the DPRK military staged explosions in the east and west of the peninsula, which are believed to be intended to undermine roads leading to South Korea. According to the South Korean side, the military personnel of the People's Republic continue "additional activities using heavy equipment."
