The bill “On the Police Guard” is ready for the second reading in the National Assembly of Armenia


In Tsakhkadzor on October 10-11, a discussion took place on the final developments before the second reading of the bill “On the Police Guard” and a package of related laws. It was organized with the support of the Yerevan office of the Council of Europe.


According to the press service of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs, a number of developments were carried out before the second reading, including changes aimed at solving problems identified in various discussions with the National Assembly. Accordingly, they found their logical solutions.


Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan thanked her partners from the National Assembly and the Council of Europe for their active participation and effective cooperation.


In turn, the head of the Yerevan office of the Council of Europe, Maxim Logange, noted that the implemented reforms are unprecedented and expressed his readiness to continue support in the formation of the Police Guard.


An agreement was reached to send the revised version to the National Assembly in order to ensure a second reading.
