WSJ. In the US, drones flew over a military base for 17 days

The drones flew for two and a half weeks at the US Air Force Base in Langley, Virginia. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, referring to sources.

According to them, on several nights, the airbase employees reported the appearance of devices of unknown origin 45 minutes to an hour after sunset. The drones flew south to Norfolk, home to the largest seaport. The height of their flight was about 900-1200 m, and the speed exceeded 160 km/h.

The information about the ownership of the aircraft could not be confirmed. Among the versions that have been voiced, there are talks about the launch of amateur drones, as well as external actions by Russia or China.

The newspaper clarified that the military did not shoot down the mysterious flying objects, because shooting them near military bases, unless they pose a threat, is prohibited by federal law.
