It has been named to improve the potential of prostate cancer without drugs

The scientists from the University of Edit Cauan have confirmed that the potency of prostate cancer can be significantly improved with regular exercises. The results of the study were published at Jama Network Open.

Sexual dysfunction is the common side effects of prostate cancer treatment and the main concern of patients. According to scientists, most patients with such pathologies are not offered effective treatment strategies. To find out if the potency can be restored without drugs, researchers have focused on evaluating the efficiency of exercise, a traditional way to improve health.

112 patients with prostate cancer took part in the experiment, the average age of which was 66 years old. For six months, subjects have completed a program consisting of aerobics and power exercises. The aerobics department consisted of 20 to 30 minutes from the middle to an energetic intensity. The power exercise consisted of six to eight exercises from six to twelve repetitions.

The results showed that short-term changes in lifestyle did not led to improvement. However, the participants who have trained regularly for a long time, the erectile function has been significantly restored.

In addition to the improvement of sexual function, the exercise also led to a significant increase in muscle power and a decrease in body fat percentage. Such changes reduce the risk of the development of cardiovascular disease, which are the risk factors of impotence.
