Wildberries has revised penalties for order cancellations by sellers

Wildberries has revised fines for cancellation of orders by sellers and failure to deliver goods to the warehouse after they were planned, and will return to sellers part of the fines issued this year - almost 900 million rubles, the marketplace reported.

"Wildberries has reviewed fines for cancellation of orders by sellers and non-delivery of goods to the warehouse after they were planned. As part of business support, we limited the amount of fines depending on turnover over the last 30 days. It was also decided to partially reverse (cancel or adjust - ed.) fines for cancellation of orders and non-delivery of goods placed from January 1 to August 20, 2024. The total amount of funds that Wildberries will transfer to sellers will be almost 900 million rubles,” the release says.

The company also said that from October 11 to October 30, sellers will have the opportunity to return some of the goods that are stored in the warehouse and which have not been ordered for more than six months, with a 50% discount on return logistics.

“These measures are aimed at easing the burden on our partners at the beginning of the active sales period. We expect that this will have a positive impact on their business on the platform,” explained Wildberries.
